||This MSW2E Project is to process 500 tons/day of municipal solid waste in Phase I and is to be increased to 1,000 tons/day in Phase II. The technology to be adopted is a patented technology that was used to establish the Kajang Waste-to-Energy Plant in Semeyih, Selangor, Malaysia in 2009, which is a 700 tons / day MSW Processing Facility. It was hailed by the POWER magazine, the leading power sector magazine published in USA in December 2010, as the only plant to be listed from the Waste to Energy Sector and one of the top six Renewable Energy Plants in the world.
The proposed project is initiated by the City Government of Yuequing City and will award the project to an SPV for implementation on a 30 year Build, Operate & Transfer (BOT) basis.
The SPV has already been formed by a local promoter who is spearheading the project and the project will be commissioned in 24 months.
