The business wishes to increase its massage clinics which at present numbers to 42 and employs more than 400 visually impaired individuals. In the Philippines, people with disability have limited opportunity to get employment and a number of them (and their family members) would end up begging in the streets or relying to the government for support.
This project provided additional employment opportunities to visually impaired individuals and their family members. Each massage clinic employs 10-12 individuals. The loan was used to put up additional clinics. It was used to pay for the rental deposit to the malls (where the clinics are to be put up) and for the improvement of the facilities. Two additional clinics were set up because of the loan extended by NPFC.
